Work Life Updates
A few weeks ago, my work hours shifted slightly as we prepare for new testing initiatives. One major change: we’ve started issuing Windows 11 machines instead of Windows 10—an exciting step forward in modernizing our systems.
Another big change is that my office is moving into the imaging room, which is a welcome upgrade during these hot summer months thanks to its excellent air conditioning.
TechNest Creations Progress
On the business front, TechNest Creations is picking up momentum. I’ve launched a “Coming Soon” page on the website, registered for an EIN, and opened both checking and savings accounts for the business.
The prototype of my first product—a smart device for home automation—is nearly ready to be sent off for production. Tomorrow, I’ll be having my first call with a SCORE mentor to review and refine my business plan.
I’ve also started building the brand online with a new Facebook page and a YouTube channel to share updates, behind-the-scenes progress, and eventually tutorials.
Life Outside of Work
On a personal note, my wife and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary with a relaxing trip to Oklahoma. We stayed in a cabin, spent some time at the casino, and most importantly—enjoyed each other’s company away from the daily grind.
Final Thoughts
Balancing a full-time job, a growing business, and personal life hasn’t been easy, but I’m learning as I go. I’m looking forward to what the next few months bring, both professionally and personally. Thanks for following along on the journey!
